Chinese baby diapers demonstrate significant export competitiveness in the international market. In August 2024, the export volume reached 58.988 million kilograms, a year-on-year increase of 25.46%, indicating a rising share of Chinese baby diapers in the global market. Additionally, the export value grew by 12.06% year-on-year, reaching 1,193.06 million RMB. Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Tianjin are key provinces driving the growth of China’s hygiene product exports, with Fujian leading in diaper exports. The province exported 37,323,263 kilograms of diapers, generating 772.529 million RMB, an 8.29% year-on-year increase, making Fujian a major diaper export province in China. The outstanding performance of these regions reflects the growing influence of Chinese baby diapers in the global market.
Regarding export destinations, Chinese baby diapers have shown strong performance across various international markets. In August 2024, the top ten countries and regions by export value were the Philippines, Russia, Vietnam, Australia, India, the United States, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Thailand, and Kazakhstan. The increasing demand for Chinese baby diapers in these markets provides broad growth opportunities for related products and further enhances China’s competitiveness in the global infant care market. This also highlights the popularity and competitive edge of Chinese baby diapers in overseas markets.
